c (velocity of light) = nu (freq) * lambda (wavelength)
When the wavelength increases, the frequency decreases, as in the case
of IR.

| a lower frequency. Because the wavelength is longer it takes a longer
| time for a cycle to complete. I forget what the frequencies are for
| infared but I assure you that they are way BELOW the visible light
| spectrum. =) Waves fascinate me, I am a computer science student but I
| have a small interest in physics and thats why I feel it is necessary to
| bring this to your attention, although I am sure you already know all
| this.
