Re: New to EIR
In a message dated 00-07-13 14:46:26 EDT, you write:
<< I have been shooting HIE for about 2 years now and I like what I get, but
recently I have been thinking about trying EIR to see if I like what I get.
Very honestly I haven't to date paid much attention to the EIR info on the
list,
"sorry". Can anyone give me a starting ISO/EI and which filters are best.
As
usual, any help will be appreciated!!!

I have shot over 100 rolls of the new EIR and get great results with a
rating of ISO200, using a no.16 orange filter together with a polarizer. This
will produce saturated colors and great contrast. Folige and grass will be
reddish more than magenta, red objects usually record as yellow, yellow as
red, & blue and green, as purple. Blue skies will usually record as dark
blue. Meter through the filters, make 1 shot at that reading & then stop
down 1 stop and make another exposure, for best results. To see the results I
have had, go to my Art of Infrared website at
http://members.aol.com/joepaduano/infrared/ Then click on the color
infrared gallery icon.
