Light metering with 87 filters

Great feed back on this list! I would never had considering rating this film
was down to ASA 0.75!! I read at web page mentioned on this list that the
Hexar light meter is sensitive enough to IR light to allow it to accurately
meter for Kodak HIE if the ASA is cranked up to 32 or 6400. Since I have
the camera and haven't tried any of the opaque filters, I'm going to get a
75mm Lee 87 and cut some for the light meter and cut out a 46mm size for the
lens. I have a question. I was going to remove a UV filter from its thread
and attach the Lee filter in its place. What would happen if I left the UV
filter in place? Any thoughts?
