And your qualifications in researching this matter to the point where you
can state someone is being silly is.........?

Sorry, I didn't see anything other than 'biology teacher' being stated
amongst your qualifications, when you've had the chance to talk to a few
paleobotanists  who've studied the results of fire affected areas over
thousands of years, maybe then you'll be able to contribute more .
