Ok, Karl, there is no need to be so abrasive. If you would've supplied that
bit of info in the first place, someone wouldn't think that you were just
making comments about something you didn't fully understand. Obviously, you
do understand, but you can't deny that Jim, and some of the others that have
made statements, don't have good points. Your just pissed because someone
said that you were full of crap.
Also, I haven't claimed "expertise" in any field...including biology.
However, I do have a small grasp on how the environment works(enough to
teach it anyway). So, I don't think I need to sit down and hash it out with
a paleobotanist before I can make a statement about the subject. Notice, I
didn't volunteer ANY new information on the matter, I just simply agreed
with someone. As far as you making silly statements and all, you should've
gone into greater detail about what you know about ecology. That's
all...and please, don't look down your nose at us "biology teachers" like we
don't know anything.
