New camera?

I do assume that you have a bunch of manual focus lenses, so consider a camera from Nikon with focus confirmation like the F4 or F5. These cameras have a display (red triangles, green dot) up right in the finder, this means you only have to look for the green dot, which says "Camera sees clearly now".Easier than looking at a split microprismen screen. The F100 should have this feature, but I'm not sure.

After the green dot is shown move lens from focus to IR marking. If no IR marking displayed, look for depth of field 5.6 line, should be pretty close, at least it is on my older push and pull zooms.

Regards,

Wolfram
