Getting the "real" infrared look with Ilford SFX is VERY difficult. Shot
through a "normal" red filter (Wratten #25), this film doesn't look too
different from common BW stuff. Of course you can mount a very dark red
filter (e.g. Heliopan RG 715 / Wratten #88A) on the lens and shoot the
film at ISO 10 (metering WITHOUT !!!! the filter) or the like. This will
give you some "infrared-like" look, although it's in fact an abuse of
the film...
If you are looking for a real 120 IR film, you should better test Konica
IR 750 or the new MACO IR 820C (their site is www.mahn.net). If you
want to do reversal processing, the MACO film is probably the best
choice.
See you, Eckhard
