Filter question.
Hello out there,
I am starting out in IR-photografie. I have done some (louzy ending)
experiments but want to make a serious step now.
I do have a red filter and would like to know weather i can expect good
IR-effect with it or that i have to buy another filter. The filter is a: B+W
8x red Nr 091.
I want to try this with kodak HIE and ilford SFX and maybe in the future
with MACO and or Konica
do i need differend filters for them or is the a good filter for all of
these films. I ask this because not all of these films have the same
sensibility to IR.
I have read a lot about exposure and realise there are differen opinions
about it. i dont understand weater i have to meter trough the lens withe the
filter in place ore that i have to meter without the filter. Some people say
that the use 1600 iso whili other say there film is only 50.
I am a little of track i'm afraid. Who can make it a little clearer for me
how to messure the light. (i have a hand held meter as well as ttl.)
thanks in advance for all the help.
Greetings from the Netherlands,
Gerard de Vrueh
