Introduction

Greetings!

My name is Dave Hartman, located near Olympia, Washington, US. I am
writing this in response to Willem-Jan's request for people to introduce
themselves when they sign on to the list. :-)

I am a full time Physician Assistant that works in a local Emergency
Department near here, and do photography as a hobby. I started
photography just as a way to document special moments of my family. but
found that my interest grew exponentially after my first poor attempts
at it. Thusly I started to really work at my photography in the hopes of
becoming a much better photographer, buying a newer camera and better
lenses. I started out with a Canon Rebel X and now use a Canon ElanIIe.
My lenses consist of the usual 50mm and 75-300mm lenses. I also have a
Macro lens that I absolutely love.

Preferred subjects. A hard question to answer. Anything that catches my
eye really. I prefer nature photography or anything manmade that looks
interesting or can be made to look interesting. I use my Macro lens alot
with manmade objects.

As for film I like to use Kodak's stuff, like the Porta series. I also
do alot of daylight photography with 3200 speed B/W film because I like
the ethereal quality I get with it. I am just getting into IR
photography, have read all about it and now have a decent working
knowledge of how to apply it.

Now for the last two questions on the sample bio..... I found this list
by going through a ton of lists and found this one to my liking. And for
strange hobbies, I fly kites. Not the little single string jobs but
stunt and power kites.

Well, I guess that just about does it. I look forward to participating
in the list.
