- Name: Rajiv G. Dighe
- Profession/Study: Software Engineer. I am primarily a Commerce Graduate,
but decided earlier in life that computers were lot more exciting than
book-keeping. I work for a software company specialising in graphics
software.
- Country: Canada, just got here....have decided to make this my home.
- Personal history of photography
got a cheap 110mm camera as a present when I was 16, tried to set up my
own darkroom. and left it at that for financial considerations. got back
into it when I came to canada and found a great store stocking only used
stuff. bought a Nikon FG20, sold it, bought Nikon FE-2 sold that too and
switched to Canon EOS. I have Canon EOS 650 with Technical Back-E ( great
gadget!!! ), Sigma 24mm f2.8, Sigma 28-70 F3.5-4.5 and EF 70-210 F4 Macro.
420EZ speedlight and few odds and ends. planning to buy more canon lenses
as and when resources allow. since I am not into photography for money and
I have family to take care of, that's not likely to happen too soon <snif>
oh...and I forgot mention, I also have a Praktica MTL-5 with 50mm f1.8 that
I keep for sentimental reasons.
- preferred subjects:
Sports, Children, flowers and landscapes. I also have strange liking for
water, strange considering the fact that I can't swim, almost drowned once
and am otherwise terrified to venture into water...so don't expect me to
contribute to any discussion on underwater IR photography.
- materials (film, filters, paper, chemistry):
print film : Kodak Royal Gold 100 and 400 and Kodak Multipress PJM.
Slide film: Kodachrome 64, fuji provia 100, Kodak Elite 100, Kodak Lumiere
100 and Kodak panther 100.
rest I leave for local Lab to take care of. maybe someday I will get into
my own darkroom stuff
- format (35mm/medium format/large format):
35mm only
- Other strange hobbies:
playing around with linux, I am also trying to figure out how EOS Technical
Back talks to computer so that I can make better use of it...may be program
it from my computer in a better way than canon intended ( dreaming???)
- How did you find out about this list:
from a post on Canon EOS mailing list
- Expand on anything photographic you like:
I am trying to stop shooting anything I see and get into specifics, I have
already decided micro and macro photography as one field and trying to find
out more about IR photography

and now, remember you folks promised not to kick me out :) :)
