Just called the Technical Manager at Konica UK and had a chat. He
stated that the Konica US does not have a pro. products division and
they may well have stopped supplying the film in the US. The film has
not however been discontinued.
The film is still available in the UK where there is a pro. products division.
I have offered to supply Konica IR 750 to US customers via CoCam if
the film is no longer available in the US.
Will be receiving the official statement by EMail in the next few
days from Konica and will of course report back here.
The worrying thing is that the use of TMax was mentioned as a
deciding factor in the continued supply of the film. As so many pro.
labs are set up for TMax processing, Konica seem to feel that it's a
good idea to drop older emulsions as the pro. labs have to change
their processor setup.
So, buy more traditional film emulsions and use the pro. labs :-)
