Say what? Hereabouts the "consumer" B&W developer offered by the pro
labs is D-76 or the Ilford equivalent (Ilfosol?). I'm sure the local
Kodak bulk lab is set up for TMax, but none of the labs I frequent
are standardized for it. Perhaps they're referring to comprehensive
pro labs which do C-41 and E-6, too. Locally, anyone shooting 750
IR will be taking it to a B&W pro lab and asking for tray processing
in the developer of their choice. In fact, I'm about to drop off a
bunch of 750 IR test rolls for processing with PMK.
Who do they think their customer base for 750 IR is? Slow B&W IR
films aren't exactly the kind of thing most people will be loading
into their point-and-shoot's for snapshots.
