Actually, it happens with any media the prints are made on...  The cyan dye is
flawed and susceptible to degradation by Oxidation, as admitted by EPSON technical
staff..

However, the problem is most obvious and proceeds most rapidly on the glossy paper
as a result of the design of the paper's receiver layer..
