IR film types

I have noted with interest that several of the more accomplished members of
this forum switch between Kodak and Konica IR films. Is there a favorite? I
note also that the Kodak images are grainier, while the Konica images are
sharper than the Kodak. Maybe I stumbled upon my own answer, but I wanted to
have a bit of a concensus.
Oh, for those in the Olympia Washington area, there are only 3 places to
develop IR film. One in Tacoma, one in Seattle and the last in Portland,
Oregon.
