Ilford SFX

Hi all,

I've been asked to take some monochrome photos at a Wedding and I thought it
would be interesting to take some (semi) IR shots as well, hence I'm
considering taking Ilford SFX 200 to allow me to do both without the hassle of
taking a changing bag or two bodies. Also, my experience with HIE is limited
and because I can't guarantee consistent results with it I don't want to use
it for this wedding; I want to make sure I at least get something. (I'm not
the main Wedding Photographer btw)

I have seen several postings to the list regarding infra red Wedding
photography and wondered if anyone has used SFX at a Wedding and has any tips.
In fact, tips from anyone who is reasonably experienced with this film would
be appreciated - best filters to use, exposure, bracketing etc.

I shot one roll last year with a Cokin 003 and got mixed results - some of the
pictures looked a bit strange whereas some I liked very much (and will on my
web-site when I finally get round to it!)

For info, as well as the 003, I have an Ilford SFX filter as a gel (and
therefore is a bit inconvenient to use), and I'm getting a Cokin P-sized resin
filter equivalent to a Wratten 70 which, from the spectral response, should
give reasonable results.

Many thanks in advance.
