Dear Robert,
Having bright sun is not necessary with IR film. Due to the heavy filtration
IR film requires, you may run into long exposures. Use a tripod.
Please visit the infrared section of my website; see "bent tree" and "lake
rocks". Both shot on 4x5 HSI with a #25 filter.
