I would guess that you wouldn't need to take any precautions, though testing is
always a good idea. Different woods have differing opacities to IR, with pine
being at the less opaque end. However, I have used my Leonardo camera quite
extensively with Infrared Pinhole without any problems.
I would guess that weather stripping won't do much as far as IR opacity is
concerned. I am also thinking that the type of holder may have a good bit to
do with things. I use old Riteway holders (the slides have five raised dots on
the part where you draw it out of the slide, indicating that the slides are IR
opaque) and have never had a problem with infrared. I have read messages where
people jump through different loops to ensure that IR does not get in through
the slot left when the slide is drawn, but this has never been an issue with my
holders.
Again, testing is ALWAYS the best way to get the true answer for your own
equipment.
