But Ben, what I don't get is why would your speed go UP when you meter with
a filter on?  Why wouldn't it decrease, as is usual when you are
compensating for filter factor? I must be missing the very obvious here.  It
seems you rate it at 12 without the filter and 50 (two stops) with the
filter???  Why wouldn't it be 50 without and 12 with the filter?  What do
you mean, also, by not finding any difference between 1/4 sec and 15
minutes---exposure? I'm very confused.
