Increasing Konica's film speed under low light conditions might indeed
be a good idea. Recently I did some graveyard shots on Konica. It was a
grey, foggy day, late afternoon. Especially next to larger monuments,
chapels and trees it was quite dark. I shot the film at an EI of 50,
metering through a Wratten #25 (my normal speed). I developed the film
as usual - and got very dense negs, overexposed by at least 1 aperture
stop. The same thing happened to me in a similar situation some months
ago. Maybe there's some difference between IR radiation (almost
exclusively recorded by the Konica film) and visible light (recorded by
the camera's meter). With HIE, I never had problems like these - maybe
due to its panchromatic sensitivity.
