On the Yahoo club "aninfraredguide", scho_2000 posted a picture taken with
the Nikon 950 and Hoya R72 filter that he had manipulated using the diffuse
glow filter in Photoshop. It looks remarkably like HIE. I asked him for the
details and he replied "The Diffuse Glow filter is under the Photoshop 5.5
Filter menu (Filter>Distort>Diffuse Glow). I set the Graininess slider to
6, Glow Amount to 10, and Clear Amount to 15 and then used the Fade Filter
slider (under Filter menu) to reduce opacity to about 65 %. "
If you are a member of that Yahoo club, go to Photos|Digital
Infrared|Diffuse Glow to see his picture. If you're not a member, you can
either join or let me know and I'll ask him for permission to temporarily
put his image on my website and direct you to it.
