Subject: Maco 4x5 experience + question
Hi,
I ordered some boxes of 4x5 sheets en 120-rolls IR-film from Maco. I did my
first test while travelling and shot about 10 sheets in Jordan. The results
are however disappointing, and I am looking why. Here are the details on the
followed procedure:
- I used the 87-filter from Lee (transmitting begins above 730 nanometers),
- I rated the film at ISO 12;

my guess for the 87 would be ei 5
and for the 89b it is EI 8.
It is hard to tell what a proper exposure would be from
just examining the film. The negatives can be somewhat thinner
because the film base is clear.
