I use both an FM and an FE for HIE, usually with a Red #29 filter, although
I have also used a BTR filter. Works fine. I think the implication of the
quote for IR photography is that you shouldn't meter through the lens,
since the camera's meter is not sensitive to IR. However, I have
successfully use the TTL meter with the Red 29 filter and the ASA set at 200.
