I found the following quote on this website:
http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/classics/nikonfmseries/fm/part4.htm
As I was about to buy an FM as an IR body, I'm wondering now if it's a
good idea.
Does anyone else use HIE in a Nikon FM rated at about 25 ASA with an 88A
filter mounted BTR, or at least USE an FM for HIE?
Thanks,
Brian
Here's the quote:
"GPD photo sensors
The FM's metering system uses two GPD's, which
are virtually insensitive to INFRARED RAYS and whose
spectral sensitivity closely parallels that of the human
eye, as its light sensors. The use of these elements
enable the FM's meter to respond instantly to
changing light levels of from EV 1 to EV 18. Thus,
the photographer can shift from bright to dim-light
shooting, or anywhere in between, then back again
and be sure of consistent exposures throughout."
