I have done some UV photography with the Coolpix, both UV fluorescence and
UV reflectography.
Which are you wanting to do? I put me hand on the images straight away,(on
PC in Photo Studio and its not connected up at the moment) but if you want
me to send you them just say. They are of the same pigment board that I did
the IRs on.
The UV fluorescence photo's certainly worked very well, you are recording
visible light for those anyway. It did pick up the low level light from the
fluorescence quite well. Just remember to use a filter otherwise the UV
light will flood out any fluorescence there might be (I use a wratten 2E).
I can't remember how well the UV reflectograph worked. I certainly got an
image on it but if I remember there was quite a bit of noise with it. I'll
have to look up the image and get back to you on that, though I can tell you
the filter I use for that is a B+W403.
Hope this helps and I'll try and dig out those images if anyone want's a
copy (just email me saying either the IR or UV or both)

Subject: Any experience with Coolpix 950 for UV
photography?
Hello folks:
I have my experience with infrared photography with my new
Nikon Coolpix 950
digicam.
It was successful... I read some articles about infrared on
web site but
notice that ultraviolet photography. I was looking for UV
images (samples)
that Coolpix 950 takes but can't find them.
Does anyone have experience with UV photography for Coolpix
950 digicam?
Thank you!
