Tim:
Are you the Tim Rudman who wrote the wonderful book on lith printing? If
so, I should tell you the pages are quite dog-eared by now. Your advice
regarding "archival standards" is good, but I'm certain you meant to
indicate that Sistan is used as the *final* bath, following the hypoclear
and an archival wash.

'Processed to archival standards' usually means that a FB print is
meticulously processed, fixed in fresh or preferably 2 bath fixer, often
toned in an archival toner such as Selenium, sulphide or gold, or some
other
life enhancing combination like Polytoner, or possibly in Sistan. It is
then
bathed in hypoclear and washed to archival standards.
