That's 100% correct - we can thank Hollywood for all the misconceptions!

At the risk of sounding commercial, I might suggest the new SeaWorld in San 
Antonio. The tanks and pools are large enough that you could probably frame a 
shot and just get dolphins or killer whales, for example, against a black 
sky. Not sure if the shutter would be fast enough, however. Anyone have 
success in this environment?
