The interesting thing about all this analysis so far is that it actually
works in the real world. I look at all the ways we have done
calculations to compare the formats, then I start setting up my viewers
for many of the lens/format recommendations to see if the actual results
match the calculated results. I'm lucky in that I can set up many of
the formats and lens combinations, and then superimpose them to
interpret the result.
Although our analysis so far hasn't been scientific, it appears to be
quite accurate in relating to what will actually happen. I have a much
better understanding of how the formats relate to each other when
magnified.
