I spent a few days in London on business this week and was able to blow off
my project long enough to drop in on The Widescreen Center - an actual
retail store that sells 3D supplies and lots of other cool gear. Since they
are also a Kiev dealer I asked manager Robert Wiltshire if any of his
customers were involved with stereo MF projection. He replied that a few
wealthy ones were with stunning results. The Widescreen catalog includes
the Rollei-66 6X6 projector with a 200mm lense for £1,643 - this projector
can also be converted for use with 35mm. They also list the German built
Gotschmann 6X7 projector for £2,347 as well as the Gotschmann 8585 AV76
fully automatic 6X7 projector for £4,366. Both include a 150mm Schneider
lense. The British pound is worth roughly $1.50. Hey - a fellow can dream,
can't he?
