Bill,
>are you saying you have a 4x5 stereo camera?
yes
> Who made this camera?
Me. I made a matched pair of 4x5 cameras because I am more interested in
being able to vary the inter-lens separation than I am in ortho stereo. The
landscape work that I do hardly ever requires a lens separation of less than
5.5 inches which is as close as they get. They are made out of 3/16"
mahogany ply so they will be light weight. Essentially they are wooden boxes
with lenses on one end and an opening for the film holders on the other. I
use Kodak ReadyLoad holders (which work great) . The holders also eliminate
the dust problem which could be a nightmare in stereo.
>What fl lens does it have?
The focal length is 120mm and the lenses are Schneider Apo-Symmars. This is
slightly shorter than normal focal length allowing me to more easily get
everything I want in the frame while I can crop somewhat if I want tighter
framing. I felt that anything longer would be too restrictive.
>How were the shutter synched?
The shutters are synched with a twin cable release. All my exposures are
long so they don't need to be synched to .001 sec.
>I would love to see it and find out how to get one myself.
I will eventually have it on a web site, but for the time being no. Where do
you live? I'm not really interested in making them to sell, but it's not out
of the question.
