  Probably true given that they were
made in the USSR. But mine was Joel's
bad camera that he sold me at a discount.
So I knew it wasn't perfect when I bought
it.

  The aluminum gear teeth on my lenses
were worn from not meshing fully and
thus were slipping (un-meshing) at some
points. So I had to move the right lens
up. I don't know how good the vertical
alignment was before I moved it.
