I read the section on your web site that talks about the 1/30 rule....  you
explain below a more accurate rule would be 1/(lens fl) ... for 35mm.  So
how exactly would this adjusted rule apply for MF stereo?    1/(2xfl) ????

When using the 35mm format, it has been suggested (Ref 4) that perhaps a
better way to state the rule is "1-in-(the lens focal length in mm)". Thus
for the 70mm lens, the rule for 35mm format images would become 1-in-70,
which gives an approximate but conservative calculation of the required
base.
