Oleg,
Yes, if you come across a shot where tilt or swing offers tremendous
benefit, then I would agree, however, even with these movements you still
have to stop down tremendously if there are large objects near you... the
reason is because tilting the lens causes the plane of sharp focus to start
under the lens and extend outward at an angle dependent on the amount of
tilt used... the DOF starts at a point below the lens and then surrounds the
plane of sharp focus like a cone... the smaller the f stop, the greater the
cones diameter at a given point.
My other point of using MF camera as often as possible is due to the
fact I have two bodies and two lenses, (for simultaneous firing) while LF, I
do have two 4x5 bodies, but I do not have two of each of the lenses... so
for me its a pick and choose based on the scene and what equipment I have
available...
