[MF3D.FORUM:399] Sputnik Mystery

Hi all,
I've been talking to Marco Pauck about something
on his Sputnik page:
http://www.pauck.de/marco/photo/stereo/sputnik/sputnik.html
Does anyone know what the VF lens focal length is?
The Sputnik manual doesn't say. Just that it is f2.8.
Based on the clear aperture of it Marco says it would
be about 62mm (if the f2.8 claim isn't exagerated).
The finder screen is smaller than the film gate
which also points to the VF lens FL being shorter.
But Marco says the field of view of the finder is
smaller so you can't just measure the ratio of film
gate to finder to calculate the VF FL.
The Lubitel's supposedly have the same lenses as
sputniks. Is their VF lens the same too? Is its
FL known?
Sorry for all the acronyms - Greg E.
