Just a follow-up on the 120 infrared topic (yes, I'm
a bit behind on digests ;)

I've dealt with Rolland Elliott several times and
can vouch for him. I bought 70mm x 150' HIE (B/W infrared)
film from him that he trimmed down to 120 film width.

Rolland is a great guy to deal with.

I very much like the 150' bulk roll approach. Rolland
sells them for just a bit over the cost of the 150'
rolls of film, so the cost of the trimming isn't much.

It's a -big- savings over the $17 and $19 he charges
for the 120 and 220 rolls, as he avoids the manual labor.
"Rolling your own" (at least in 120 size) is quite easy --
I save old 120 backing paper and rolls, and do this
frequently. I computed that a 120 roll of HIE costs me
in the $4 range. I haven't tried 220 yet, so cannot comment.

I believe you could do EIR for similar costs.

Also, Rolland was very helpful in sharing with me how
he made his jig for trimming down the film, and if there
is interest, I'll share what he did and photos of how
I tried it with 70mm Tech Pan film with this list.
