[MF3D.FORUM:554] Bill Glickman's Mamiyas etc.

Greetings MFers,
Lee Moore already beat me to suggesting only one pair of mirrors as a "base
shrinker".May I also commend a nice diagram of a "beam spreader"( within the
camera ) on page 111 of Ferwerda's "World of 3D". I recently came upon a 6X9 cm
Mamiya at a flea market, which I purchased. It currently has a 6X7 roll film back
with a frame counting winder, which is a nice improvement for someone who has
"missed " the frame number in the " little red window" shooting "slide em overs"
with my trusty Argoflex. The Mamiya's lens is a huge improvement also, as are the
bellows back, and ground glass screen. What I would like to try with it is the two-
aperatures- in- a-single-lens gag shown in the above mentioned drawing, with the
result being a macro unit yielding a pair of 4.5X6 cm images.Have any of you tried
such an arrangement? Best of luck to Bill with his further adventures.

Cheers,
John Billingham
