The GePe 6x6 mounts have outer dimensions of 70mm.
GePe 6x7 mounts are 85mm outside. 

During the discussion on the dimensions of the RMM
mounts, we discussed having a viewer with "offset" slots
for the left and right views; i.e. that you would overlap
the 70mm 6x6 GePe mounts by 5mm (which you could do without
overlapping the image area). 

Of course you'd have to monkey with lens placement (or
mismatch focal length) as well...

The goal was to find a system that you could use for
both viewing and projection; that was finally scrapped
and the RMM mounts were done.
