to view my gepe-mounted pairs I use an adjustable-interocular viewer
against the pair sitting side by side on the lightbox.  By spreading the
lenses slightly enough prism is incorporated to facilitate fusing.  Not
a convenient or portable viewing system, but workable for checking
mounting for projection before closing up the mount.  Speaking of which,
I use a gepe slide-closing press for uniformity and when they're done
they are really tight.  Anyone have a good method for re-opening gepe
mounts?
