That was my first reaction as well. Geez, was the guy out of spikes or
what? I can't imagine a mounting technique with more potential for damage.
Check out: http://www.cadvision.com/3dhacker/mount.jpg
This is the mystery European MF mount made from aluminum. It measures 130mm
x 70mm with 55x50 horizontal windows. The centers are 65mm apart. Although
a little flimsy, the great thing about these is that the chips just slide
in the back (as shown) with no adhesives required at all. Does ANYONE out
there know where to get these?
Anybody using the two-sided tape technique (like me) may want to know that
it can now be available online at: http://www.islandblue.com/
I just ordered the 1/4" tapes (which isn't listed on their page of course).
It should be here tomorrow or Monday, so if someone wants the item number I
can post it.
One last mounting issue: Is there anyone out there who can make protective
sleeves for MF mounts. You can get them easily for Realist and Stereo Card
formats, so what about MF stereo? I'd instantly oder 200 if available.
