[MF3D.FORUM:830] Processing E-6

I had a bit of a scare yesterday. After processing, I
unwound the film from the reels only to find big grayish
brown clouds all along the center, to the sprockets. This
has been only my second time doing this. The first time was
a breeze. I used the Beseler E-6 kit purchased from my
local camera store. This kit (Chrome Six 3+) was from B&H.
Since I was doing a large volume of slides and started with
the 8 reel tank (need to get another one of these), this was
going to be quite a loss for me. As I put the 3rd roll of
film in the trash, going over in my head what could have
gone wrong, I glanced at the trouble shooting section. The
description that caught my eye was "Transparencies Heavily
veiled". Cause according to this was inclomplete
bleach-fixing. I'm sure I did this for the correct amount
of time. Anyway the remedy was to repeate the bleach-fix
stage and rewash. I pulled on of my 120 reels and dunked it
into the bleach-fix I had in the large measuring bowl.
Working it back and forth just to see if it started to make
a difference. In no time I saw the clouds fading away!!!
My film was saved!!!! Now being aware of this issue, I
started the second batch of film. At the end (and paying
very close attention to time), my rolls were again plagued
with the clouds. I did another round with the bleach-fix
and it cleared it right up. So what is it I'm not doing
correctly? From the instructions, I should only have to go
through the bleach-fix once. The only other thing I could
think may be the cause would be *if* I had not mixed the
bleach-fix properly. Anyone here have experience with this
that can give me some input? The reason I'm doing my own
processing now is that as I was showing the guys at the
camera store the MF stereo slides, I noticed streaks on the
back of my slides and they told me it came from trying to
stretch the chemicals and not changing them enough. Soooo,
I started doing my own. But now I'm messing up. . .
