Well, when I got my Rolleidoscop recently, I intended to carry it in the
contemporary fitted case. But I was instructed that this was not a good idea
because the case was in such good condition that it has a value on it's own...
I happened to have a little "gadget bag" that fitted the camera pretty well,
but wouldn't take my tripod/lightmeter/film/cable release etc, so I dusted of
one of my Tenba camera bags. This one has a base size of about 16 x 7 inches,
and it's about 9 inches high. The dividers inside are fixed with velcro so
very flexible. The bag is made from heavy duty canvas-like fabric and is very
tough. The sides are fabric, and seem to have some thermal protection
incorporated.
The main bag is zipped closed across the top, and there are pockets for maps
etc on both sides. One of these has a zip.
I've used this type of bag for many many years. Haven't worn one out yet!
Last weekend, I was in York with the Rolleidoscop, a Lunar Pro lightmeter, a
Realist, and a Leica CL. Also the tripod, cable release and lots of film.
With room to spare!
