I was searching for information about building my own bellows when I 
stumbled on a hacker's paradise:

When I read that he wound the nichrome wire heater coils for his 
print dryer, I knew I had found a kindered spirit.

Doug Bardell, who lives in Ontario, has made a handful of large 
format wooden field cameras.  I really liked his panoptic panoramic 
camera, where the film moves in front of a slit under motor control. 
He has a darkroom full of handbuilt items, print washers, timers, and 
a handmade enlarger.

He's the Hacker Sam of large format.  I enjoyed reading his pages.
