AS&S MF lenses

Maybe someone on this list will 'fess up. I bought a pair of the 
40x80 Achros that AS&S was selling just a few months ago. At the
time I asked them how many more they had left. They said a couple
of hundred. From recent postings, I gather that they are all gone,
that the SaturnScopes are using a different lens now and that even
that one may be in short supply. Who bought all the 40x80s. Have
there been that many SaturnScopes sold? Is someone hoarding them?
Curious minds want to know.
