  Even with the pairs at normal spacing
they can't be directly viewed. They are
psuedo-stereo on film so you would need
to use a prism or mirro viewer to flip
them into real stereo.

  Yes and no. Yes you get a circular
view. But binos don't normally have
a 180 degree field of view. Usually
much less (5 or 10 degrees I think).
