My particular requirements would be a light source that could be adjusted
for the individual slide density. I've got everything else adjustable on
this gismo, don't wanna stop at the light source! A sliding grid would have
a benefit over a dimmer by assuring the same color temp throughout the
brightness range. ND filters would be a hassle to put in a remove each time
a different value is needed. There's supposed to be a new ultra bright LED
out on the market, which I may experiment with. The attraction here is that
you would have a very shallow light box and control the brightness by
merely turning off/on the appropriate LEDs to coincide with the required
level.
