Robert
I had been doing that unknowingly because the springs seem to
easily go that way in my Sputnik. It is when I get to frame 11 it
starts getting more difficult. Frame 12 is murder! My friends
*had* been teasing me about how much time it takes me to wind the
film. Saturday I handed the Sputnik over to one of the teasers and
said "you try it". He tried it, muttered an expletive, and said he
admired how hard I had to work to use that camera and that he
wouldn't bother. The rest of the afternoon was "tease free".
Someone suggested I try spraying oil on the winder to loosen it
up. Might help.
