I've had a Spud for a long time but have not used it. I have used thousands
of roll of 120 film so I thought I'd check the Spud. The only loading caution
I could see is , if you initially wound quite a bit around the take up spool.
By
the time you wrap film from spool to spool you are approximatelly 6 1/2 inches
from the beginning of the film. This is more than adequate unl;ess you really
got sloppy with your loading technique. The film was very tight when I got to
the
end of the roll. It should be impossible to mess up 2 (4 single frames) stereo
pairs at the beginning and end with even extremely loose film.
I think it is being caused by internal flare. You defined the problem as
light
swirl. Normally light leaks cause straighter lines but it may be caused by
light leaks.
