Sam makes some interesting points.  I had wondered about
the potentially large number of entries, but for different
reasons.  Another I just thought of: if there are to be
comments on the images, it will take quite a long time
to prepare useful comments on that many slides.  A 
delay/haste/guilt problem like the one Sam mentions
would arise.

Perhaps the Expo needs to be split.  There could be
"forward" and a "reverse" route halves of the expo.
But folks in the middle would get the two halves
in a short amount of time, folks at the end would
have a long gap.  A better approach might be a
"shotgun" start patterned after that used in
company golf tournaments.  The folio organizer
sends two, three, or x number of packages to
individuals evenly spaced along the route.  The
shipping costs would be multiplied, but the
package would be far more manageable on receipt.
