John is correct about holding the shutters open
for several bursts.

With my 8' bar I use two cable releases, one in
each hand. I attempt to get the shutters to open
simultaneously by quickly and firmly pressing the
release buttons. This worked very well on my fireworks
shots except for one where I was sloppy about releasing
them at the same time. That one has a bit of retinal
rivalry from the trails being longer in one eye.
