Martha McCann (& another GE slide tour)

Hi,

  I sent Martha two of my semi-dud MF slides
(for free as a thanks for the free 50's Realist
slides she sent me).

  She didn't get any other offers from her WTB
MF slide posting. So if you have some near duplicates
(from bracketing or whatever) of your slides you might
want to sell them to her.

  In case you are interested I sent her my second
shot from my first (1996) Autumn Trail shot. The folio
one was shot at 1/50 and f5.6 so infinity is quite
soft. I took a second at 1/25 and f8 but the shutter
speeds on my Ricohflexs don't match at 1/25 so the
right is a bit brighter. Still a nice photo if you
have none of your own.

  The second one is the Pussy Willows Closeup shot
that didn't make the folio. This one was shot at
f8 for intentionally shallow DOF but I liked the f22
one better (since closeups have so little DOF anyway).
I do like the portrait mounting of Martha's slide
better than the square mounting of the one I kept
so I might remount mine some day when I have lots
of time :)

  BTW I also loaned Martha 10 other MF slides and
I'm thinking they might go on a US tour like I did
with my 35mm stuff. If anyone is interested in seeing
them let me know. You will have to pay postage to
the next person on the list and if I choose you to
be last you have to pay the slightly higher cross
border postage back to Canada. Also no complaining
when these slides show up in the MF Expo that is
coming up later this year.

  I reserve the right to limit the number of stops
and to reject people like Joel who kept the 35mm
slide tour much too long :) ...unless you offer me
lots of money or free 3d stuff. Tom is at the top of
the list if he's interested since I owe him for a
past favor.
