Actually, I am considering a similar project.

I have already procured two old TDC mono MF projectors of the same make and
model. Part of me wants to siamese them into one stereo projector. What
does the group think of that?

IF it worked, a siamese projector that could project slides in Spicer
mounts without remounting. I have my doubts about how much heat the paper
and film can take. I'm also not sure I can devise a decent transport,
which would have to be made from scratch. And of course, I have some
spiritual reservations about hacksawing a couple of vintage projectors.

Two benefits to siamesing them: 1) I could leave the slides in Joel's
mounts, and 2) a huge brag factor.

On the other hand, keeping the two projectors separate would be
mechanically simpler. But it would require me to re-mount all my slides
into two separate mounts. I'd hate to do that for the rare show I might
give.

The projectors weren't expensive, and they seem simple enough inside. And
I enjoy a challenge. What does the group say?
